Just found his post on duramax. I never got to read the full post on here. What happened that caused a ban?

I hate misinformation...
If I had time and a D-Max I'd do my own.
I think it is pretty weird that he got 3 major brand filters with defects... I would be curious what on WIX/M&H's line would slice an ADBV like he shows...
I remember one of the last post in the tread I saw was Jay saying he had the guys "entire profanity laced e-mail string" and he wasn't telling the story the way it went down, So I would guess he got outed...
If I had time and a D-Max I'd do my own.

He had great information but should have just presented that without excess opinion about Fram. The Champ Labs rep was a model of how customer service should be done. I don't think he faked anything, the BMW Ultra with separated end caps he showed it in the car. He didn't fake the M1 excess glue, or the Purolator doubled bypass spring. He seemed to measure and try and had good pics. Anyone could say the adbv was cut therefore it is all fake. Well it could have been cut in the factory just as well. His post did not show he was making things up.
He cut open a lot of filters and posted excellent photos. That alone made it a worthwhile thread and gives me something to form an opinion on besides the graphics printed on the box.
I don't mind the permaban for his personal comments and I wouldn't care if the "offensive" posts were deleted. To delete the entire thread is of no value to anyone.

Fair enough … but this site has a ton of cut filters and good communication alongside …
And I cut every filter I use …

But overall it just goes to show how blindly uninformed people will follow and re-spread misinformation because they think he's an "expert", not knowing any different. He's pretty expert at forming unfounded misconceptions and bias.

But overall it just goes to show how blindly uninformed people will follow and re-spread misinformation because they think he's an "expert", not knowing any different. He's pretty expert at forming unfounded misconceptions and bias.
As DuckRyder has mentioned, the true nature of his contact with Fram pretty much invalidated and discredited anything worthwhile he may presented here.

It certainly is nice to see someone cut open several new filters for one application for the sake of comparison, but attacking everyone who's not onside isn't terribly helpful.

I see since I posted above, someone has cleaned up all the posts (about 4 or 5 pages worth) in that thread about him being banned and the badmouthing of BITOG.
There was also a member over there (Shoggy or something like that) that had a big drawn out response to some of his stuff saying pretty much similar things that we did here - and he wasn't even doing any personal attack nonsense. Guess what, all his posts are also gone. And they were crying about "free speech" ... lol.

Whoops, I was thinking this was the DMax guy using CAT filters. I started reading the thread on that other forum... his bias is apparent, his lack of objectivity humorous, and some of his data dubious at best.

Good, the man's thread is resurrected with a link. He reviewed more filters there. I look at the pictures and don't take seriously the emotional language parts. Still one of the best reviews I have seen. But I have a positive attitude and try to be non judgmental. Maybe I keep in mind this is about oil filters in this section, not the person writing. Maybe someone can explain how he faked the M1 glue? There will be crickets on that.
