Oh but they run so nice for a few minutes on straight gasoline. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Man.. My 2-stroke is running like a champ today! Clunk... silence???!?! I've seen some really broken in ones not seize up at all after quite a while with no oil in the gas. Sorry for your misfortune, but I betcha you will be happier with that Honda single stager in the long run. I'd love one of those myself.

I have given the little Honda HS520 a real workout the past two days. I must say it's the best single stage snowblower that I've used to date. I've owned Toro and Ariens single stage blowers and I like this little Honda a lot better. I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend one of these to anyone looking for a single stage blower.

Maybe next year I will buy a Honda two stage blower to keep it company in the garage.

I can honestly sat that a good single stage snow blower is frankly faster and better than a big 2 stage machine like my Honda HS1128.....for most applications.

I will explain later in detail when I have more time to explain. I worked a 16 hour day yesterday clearing deep deep snow.

We had a record snowfall in the last 24+ hours. Most I have ever seen. Truly mind-blowing.

Need to change the oil on my 4 stroke blowers ASAP

OK Johnny. I ask because for some long-time American-only car owners, a piece of OPE is their first experience with Honda ... and often the first step in converting someone from Brand X to loyal Honda enthusiast. :)

I'd change the oil in your lil' beastie now ... and watch the 'silver soup' run out of it.

I have never used a single-stage thrower but the ones I have seen (a while ago) looked like glorified electronic broom. Never saw one able to really handle the heavy stuff ... but maybe they've come along way in the last decade.

My Dad has three 2-stage blowers. A pair of old John Deere 1032s and a much newer Ariens. This area is getting pounded now so I assume one or more of these machines will get a workout this weekend.

Thanks Bror. From what I've seen after using this for two days, I would not be afraid to tackle an 8-12" snow fall. Might take a little longer than a nice two stage for the 12" and up. We don't get those to often.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Dad has a very long driveway. I would think that tackling a long stretch of surface such as a 100-yard driveway would be right up a 2-stage's alley. Simply set the ground speed, pull the actuators and provide the minimal steering inputs to keep the machine on course.

If I had a 100 yard driveway I would be in an enclosed cab John Deere with a blade on the front of it. It would take about 6 or 7 passes with a normal two stage blower on a two car driveway that was 100 yards long. I don't want to be walking in the snow for that length of time.
