Dual microfibers to dry

I have searched to thank in the thread that suggested microfiber drying towels in response to me using a bath towel.

For many years I have exclusively(mostly anways) used an absorber chamois. I do not think I have used two towels (one per hand) since I was in high school working at Red Arrow.

I just used plain, but nice, microfibers....not an exclusive "drying" towel.

I use waffle weave microfiber for this. The best I've found after using a couple is from pakshak in Hawaii. Real care must be taken doing this, so you don't drag dirt across the surface. Blotting is best, after blowing the vehicle dry with a leaf blower. The less touching, the better...

It is important to minimize dragging anything across the paint. Adding a little spray wax while the vehicle is still wet adds lubrication and a layer of very good protection. AquaWax from Duragloss is my favorite, but there are others. They generally last for a couple of mild washings or so.

I start with the water blade to remove most of the water, then spray some spray wax and dry the car first go around with a large microfiber. Then come back around with a clean, dry microfiber. If any streaks, I give another shot of spray wax.
