Drive in silence or need some noise?

The 18 Prius just hooks up automatically to my phone (via bluetooth), where I now have (just counted) 142 albums (mostly from CDs converted to max quality mp3 on my computer), a dozen or so "playlists," a whole bunch of lectures, instructional mostly, and the entire Scourby reading of the King James Bible. A handful of Audiobooks too, I'm just getting into them for long-distance runs. That pretty much keeps me going during the times when I'm not preferring silence. Amazing that I used to think "serial access" 8-track tape was a cool thing. . .

It's a mood thing, usually got something on most of the time.

Only times I turn it off is when I just want silence, or if I'm say in gridlock with the lights and AC running in 120+ F weather with all the fans blasting. Just to reduce the stain on the alternator, so all the amps don't have to run.

I usually turn up the radio until i can't hear the wonderful rattle of the hydraulic lifters in my Escort

I always have music on but rarely is it the radio. I have head units with the usb in my vehicles and use flash drives rather then my phone and have a ton of music to rock out to

I am not a fan of silence so I always have the radio on.

Depends on what I drive. When I drive the SRT, the radio is usually off. The car itself supplies plenty of "noise".
