A lot of people want to drain the factory oil out around 500-1000 miles. From what I've seen, it's way too soon. Engines are made so well today that we rarely see oils come back loaded with wear metals of the initial break-in oil. Even at 50 ppm or more, it's doing no harm. Do you guy's agree? I think the oil should stay in engine.
Would also make sense from a study that was done showing changing the oil too often can result in a short term spike in engine wear as the new oil now has to relayer on the surfact metal.
