Looking at Kenda front tires on my '22 Can Am RT and all I can find is "DOT 7yCL on one, and 17Y on an older one. Neither have the normal 4 digits that indicate month & year. Any ideas?

If the tires are legal for use on public streets, roads, and highways then they're required to have a full DOT label. Are these Kenda tires labeled for "ON HIGHWAY" use? If so, search them carefully on both sides and then write to the manufacturer.

I generally run Dunlop tires on my motorcycles and they have a full serial number/manufacture day-year code on them. Check both sides carefully.

Found the numbers on the inside: tires that came on the new '22 Can Am is 4321 and older tires on wheels I bought has 1015 which is about right. Not sure what the 43 means but '21 seems right, and the used wheels I bought were mfg in '16. Should have mentioned in my first post that I bought a set of silver colored wheels to replace the black ones that came on new bike. Just don't like black wheels. I knew these wheels were off an older Can Am and was curious about the dates on the tires. Tire tread on these mic the same as new ones and look like new.

"In the code, DOT is an abbreviation from the US Department of Transportation, which is responsible for traffic safety and regulations. So, if you are wanting to determine the age of a tire with the code 3507, you should read its manufacture date as the 35th week of 2007. This is the standard form for every date code on motorcycle tires made since 2000."

4321 means they were made the 43rd week of 2021.
