Don't like the new mail delivery vehicles.

I don't like these new mail delivery vehicles.

Unlike the old Iron Duke powered Grumman LLV vehicles, you can't hear these new ones from a half block away... while inside a fully insulated house with the windows closed.
Oh God . Come on now. You can't be serious. Is this a rage bait post?

2004 Silverado 1500 LS Double Cab 5.3 - on its 3rd Jasper engine in less than one year - SuperTech High Mileage Synthetic 5w-30.

Jasper Engine, and this is your 3rd 1, is there a good story for us?

Truth be told, I have to agree with the OP. The route my carrier takes has him delivering the mail across the street first, with him snaking through the subdivision and delivering on my side of the street on his way out. When I hear the truck go by the first time, I know that my mail will be in the box within a half-hour or so. And no, he doesn't moonlight for Domino's Pizza..

I don't care as long as my flat mail and packages arrive on time.

Well, the dorkiness just oozes from them.
However, they are a purpose built vehicle.
I guess at about 55K for a gas version, and 77+K for the electric version, they probably aren't any worse than an off the lot van.

Iron Dukes and 4L60's are Jaspers bread and butter lol. I would pick up 16 cores a month at USPS VMF bound for Jasper.
