Done with Blackstone

You wrote they are "fakes" . Maybe some are, some aren't. That is what I meant.
Let me clarify: some are probably fake, based on my experience, the rest are frankly discountable to the point they should be removed as reviews. At a minimum they should be moved to the Seller Review section, because they're not really reviewing the product, are they? They're saying they didn't *receive* the product. Big distinction there.

Take this guy, eg:

"Horrable [sic], never got my results. this company is horrible they got my sample and after two weeks I emailed support they said they sent the sample for a second annalist [sic]. I never got any report from them. they just stole my money and don't replay [sic] anymore. use wix or amsoil insead of this worthless complany [sic]"

This person strikes me as not even computer literate, which probably explains why they couldn't find the email...

Use Amsoil?? Now I'm really suspect

Yeah, they have easily doubled their time to issuing a report in the last few years. I’m going on week 4 for a sample that I only sent to BS because I had a kit and an analysis that was already paid.

Been with them for decades. No more. Takes 2+ weeks and the last two times..even though it went to their correct address. They lost them for 2 weeks. Does anyone use NAPA?
I use nothing but the NAPA ALS. Most of the time is the mail. I always get the results within 2 weeks. I'm in WV and mail them to the Cleveland Ohio lab which is the quickest. Don't mail samples to their main office in the Atlanta area. Very Busy and slower.

unless you track your car or use gallons as rigs do just CHANGE the OIL + FILTER in 5000 miles or 6 months like KIA recommends!!!

Blackstone is a tiny lab in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I stopped by after work to drop off an oil sample from my zero turn. There was one lady in the lab and running counter with trays and trays of samples.

She asked if I had any concerns, which I did and she said she'd look into it. The concerns were mentioned on the results. Top tier service IMO. I am just a hobbyist so I suppose time doesn't matter. I do know of businesses who use them though.

I've never used Blackstone, but what's a realistic turnaround time for a $30 UOA service? I've used Napa and, from memory, it was around a month, which I was completely fine with.

When I drop off my samples directly at the Wearcheck lab in Burlington Ontario, they typically have my results online within 48 hours. A couple of times they had them up within 24 hours!!

My last Blackstone analysis took 32 days, I even sent it to Fort Wayne UPS 2nd day Air. So I made the switch to Amsoil's Oil Analysers at their Indy location. One week turn around time. Of course I'm done with Blackstone. I wonder if they are any better at aircraft engine analysis?

I just sent 2 samples out this week - oil and DSG fluid from my Sportwagen. I know it will be over a month like last time, I had the sample kits so wanted to use them and I don't need the data back fast but this may be the last time I use them. For a decision-making sample, that is unacceptable but luckly these don't matter b/c I changed both out.
