Does this look like a good OEM oil filter?

eBay's product review system sucks because it's hard to tell what review belongs to what product a seller is peddling, plus the number of reviews on most eBay items is pretty scarce compared to Amazon reviews.

True.

eBay seems to be limply attempting to remedy this if you scroll down in an individual product

That packaging is not what makes this fake, that is how Honda sells their filters, even in retail stores where OEM is available.

That said, that filter is 100% fake for sure. I would return to seller and contact eBay about it.

Amazon is worse, sometimes I tell you.

Because at least on eBay you CAN find people selling real stuff.

But seriously read the ebay feedback. They don't delete every bad one...........and it just takes one or two to clue you in.
Yes in many cases if you Amazon feedback is not positive on your review they won't allow it. I no longer even attempt to leave feedback at Amazoom!

Think it depends on the level of negative review. I've had to resubmit some reviews with negative comments in a different "tone" or with different words to get it through. If nothing else just give it the appropriate star rating with no written review comments.

Depending on your out of pocket to this point, i might just cut it open then dump it. Wouldn't want to put it back in circulation. But, of coarse, that's a personal decision.

^^THIS!^^

10+ years ago, you could leave a pretty scathing Amazon review as they were at best manually review if at all and they would get posted. Nowadays, they have AI review most of them and if they deemed to expletive or over the top harsh in tone, they do not get posted. They also do not like reviews that are negative and compared to another name brand product mentioned in the review.

^^^ YouTube comments are also all screened by AI. One "bad" word used will not let the comment stay posted. I've tested it many times, lol. Post a YT comment, it shows up as posted. Do a screen refresh and it disappears. Repost in a different way with different words and it stays posted.

why buy on line at either Amazon or E-bay,,just purchase locally at a wall-mart or a auto supply store, that way you know what you are getting.
