ST Synthetic or NAPA synthetic won't hurt it and should both clean well. Both are cheap right now - about $3.50 qt. Try to extend your drain a little with synthetic to at least 3000 miles. That will give the oil a chance to work. Change the filter every time with the oil.

I will guarantee you NYC taxis don't do 1200 mile OCIs.
Do a used oil analysis with TBN and particle count and that will tell you whether your oil is really spent after 1200 miles, as you think it is.
In the mean time, Supertech will be fine.

That's the oil doing its job.
Put a standard Quaker State, Pennz, or Castrol in the car
, and it'll keep chugging along for years at the rate you change the oil.

I had one of these engines, bought new and pampered for 13 years. It would contaminate the motor oil extremely fast compared to other cars. The owners manual says 3,000 mile OCIs - even that is pushing it in winter or other extreme conditions.
