Its still around, its made by Warren. My buddy carries that along with Wolf's Head in his shop. Cheap Dino oil, not bad though. Its basically supertech.

CAM 2 was widely available in Ohio in the late 60's early 70's, and always on sale. It was a Sun Oil Co (sunoco) product at that time. I recall that they sponsored one of Roger Penske' "ALL American Racers" Chevy Camaro entries that was driven by Mark Donahue. Apparently they never gained the desired penitration into the national market and it seemed to disappear after after the early 80's.FWIW-- Oldtommy

Interesting - because the CAM2 website says they started in 1975!

:P

I used the Syn Blend an OCI ago. All out of it now. I have no idea where my dad got it from and nor does he haha

I remember running a couple of intervals of Cam2 oil in my 88 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo back in the late 80s, they used to sell it at the Sunoco stations up here. I liked running that oil because it gave me the impression that my engine was running smoother compared to the Castrol XLR 10w30 that I usually ran in it back then.

My dad worked for Sun back in the day. I was cleaning out his garage today and found an unopened case of Cam2. Memories!

So, do you guys remember Sunoco gave out those NFL stamps and collectors books in the 70s?
That was my place as a young man. Cam2, football stamps, air pump for the bike, then minibike, then cars.
Great memories indeed!

Where is this 69 Z/28 now? Please don't tell me you wrecked it. Must've been a wonderful feeling ripping the gears behind that dz302.

Oh how I wish I still had it!
302, built and lovely. Almost showroom condition. My girlfriend's father collected coupes, and owned the local Fiat/Lancia dealership. He bought it on a whim in NY at a show. He didn't really want it and sold it to me for what he paid for it in 1978. I paid (gulp) $3444.00
Can you imagine? White on blue. Everything sans AC.
4.88s in the rear, and it maybe went 75MPH, but got there VERY quickly

I remember being able to get CAM2 110 octane unleaded gas. It had it's own pump. This was back in 1987-1990 time frame.
