Has an interesting finding in this gallon bottle of rotella gas truck oil that has been sitting for around 4 yrs. I had half the bottle left after an oil change and put it on the shelf. Went to use it to top off my truck and while pouring noticed that it looked similar to ATF. Poured some in a jar and it is real dark. It smells like fresh oil, just for some reason changed color. Anyone ever seen anything like this happen?

Nope, doesn’t look great either. Was it stored in cool dry area or hot area of garage?

It was next to 3 other jugs of t4 that look normal, no difference in conditions. I've thought maybe the dye from the bottle leeched into ot or something since it is now red in color.

Some mobil oils have a tendency to do this and I'm sure it's happened to other brands since it can happen due to the base stock source and possibly the additives doing something. Look up mobil 1 motor oil turns red. Though it's not supposed to be harmful so I'd still run it.
