Does anyone lube their door hinges...

And what do you use?
I just put two fresh(er) hinges on my driver door. The old ones were loose and let the door droop and made it necessary to slam the door shut.
Last time I lubed hinges, I used some Liquid Wrench dry lubricant, thinking, there will be some lube in there after the oil dries up.
Well, pretty soon the door started squeaking and groaning when it didnt before.
So that was a bust. I used PB blaster on it and that would shut it up for awhile, but of course it smells every time you open the door.
Want to know what other stuff people have had good luck with before I go experimenting.

I use old used motor oil in a squirt can. It usually last a few years.

A spray can of white grease I have lying around.

I prod it into any joint or contact point I can see. It's been working.

I do from time to time when i spray my locks. I use a graphite based spray. All tho i don't go out of my way to spray my door hinges.

I use cheap ATF with some MoS2 in a pump oil can. A couple of drops on each hinge will do it without making a mess. You can throw some Ceratec in the mix if you have some.

Was surprised at how good the staying power was on the hinges, and that's all I use now plus I use it on my battery terminals too.

I use Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protectant on door hinges. When the solvent evaporates, a dry waxy film is left that doesn't collect dirt.

I use spray lubricant and never have any issues. Once or twice a year works. Currently using SuperTech spray lube. Works on the door latches and the window mechanism too, but use a dry lube on the window tracks. Keeps your window motors from going bad.

Yes all the time, I use a 50/50 mix of clean motor oil and Lucas oil treatment for some tackafyers, helps keep it in place.

Same here. Usually I just spray the entire jamb down when I do my yearly application, maybe followed by a wipe down. Of course, if your new hinges have the phosphor bronze bushings any type of lube is somewhat redundant.

Saw another guy mentioned the Dupont chain lube. I've used this on my truck when it developed a squeaky hinge and it works great! I just used the liquid bottle and drizzled it on. Dries to a nice slickery film after penetrating.

When I start to notice a squeak. I use a white lithium grease spray. It works pretty well.
