Yes except if you remove the thermostat, then I would leave the top hose disconnected from the radiator and run the engine with heater on high while poring distilled water into the radiator. Let it run until the water comes out clear. This should quickly flush all the old out.

Then as you said, drain radiator again and try to get half the capacity in straight antifreeze in.

As Mechanicx said, there really hasn't been a "regular green" Prestone for a number of years now. What you probably put in was their "all makes/all models" which is a 2eha-containing DexClone.

I seriously doubt you did any long-term damage. LOTS of people run Prestone without even thinking (or thinking that its the same old stuff they used to get) and there aren't rampant cooling system failures out there. But if it were mine I'd err on the side of caution and get back to G-05. Remember, its not the corrosion inhibition that is the potential problem with DexClones- its degradation of gaskets that the coolant passes through. And that usually takes a long time to develop.
