How come you didn't buy a Durango then? You created on thread on buying one and ended up with the Sienna. Below is the thread. Life's too short, time to trade it in.

Bcs I decided in the end that family needs are more important. I figured that I am not gaining anything with buying Audi Q7, MB GL or Durango compared to BMW X5 35d, which drove light years better than any of those vehicles.
So, I went with Sienna for practicality, and being much cheaper (used with 40k miles). With that I have some extra money in budget to get E90 335i with stick shift. Is Sienna good? Yeah, it is practical. How does it drive? Like POS. How is assembled? Like POS. But, it is practical.

This makes it hard to compare to other minivans. You have standard, touring and sport setups.

The upper trims with touring and sport suspension and the upgraded sound insulation ride quite nicely. My Crew trim is actually smoother and quieter than the Odyssey I compared it to.

Agreed my Caravan which is the GT trim level rides much quieter and feels a lot nicer on the road than my dad's entry model Caravan which handles quite stiffer and doesn't corner as well. It also feels every bump across the road but it's also costs a lot less.

My only Durango beef is that the pricing as noted is higher than most competitors if you disqualify the stupid rebates
( If you have a one eyed dog with a credit rating of under 475, you get a $1500 rebate)
Also the towing package is hard to come by often. I'd still get the V6 though

With my RT Challenger though the Hemi got great mpg's- but I really don't need that.

Yeah, the GC is a solid seller and the Jeep brand has more value for sure. The amount of variety that is/has been in the GC line alone is incredible. Look at the engine selection:the 3.6L V6, 3.0L diesel, 5.7L, 6.4L V8 and now the supercharged 707HP 6.2L. Nobody else offers anywhere near such a broad selection of power choices and they are all mated to the excellent ZF 8HP transmission family.

yes only a hater who listens to CR would call them junk, the 3.6, hemis and 8HP45/50/70 are excellent, they have the best system with the 8.4 uconnect and agree they would run circles around most competitors. my 15 Hemi overland has had no issues, just picked up a JL Sahara and the 3.6 is nice. also have a 392 in my SRT challenger. anyone ripping them has never owned on.

Funny how the people ripping them never owned one, but the owners are all happy. And I agree on uconnect, they nailed that system and it's the best in the business.

I agree the Uconnect systems are excellent. I had a variant different in my Journey than in my Caravan and they both are stellar. I've also played with the one in my Neighbours Ram 1500 and it's great as well. They nailed that part of the vehicle for sure!

Having had some experience with uconnect in my charger, I don't know what all the rave is about. IMO, the MMI in wife's Q5 is more polished and better thought out. Plus I seem to have a personal aversion to touch screens, which makes it even worse.

May be a personal preference. Of the recent OEM systems I've used (GM, Ford, Toyota, Mercedes) I find UConnect the nicest and most intuitive.

Not familiar with the Audi system, but I can tell you I like uconnect a lot more than the VW system. Besides all the clunky menus in the VW system, it locks almost everything out if you're moving. You can't even adjust bass and treble!

One thing I really like about GM systems, if you have a passenger they remove all the limitations on the system when moving. Passenger can punch an address into the GPS use all features.

I see you changed the oil in your Charger, did you need to raise the front end up at all? I need to change mine, I'm still rocking the FF.

I had opportunity using uconnect and I would give preference to MMI and especially iDrive. Beef I have with uconnect is that everything is on touch screen, like seat heaters etc. It is far ahead of this POS I have in Toyota, but not where Germans are. Though, when I was considering Durango, it was not something that was relevant to purchase.

I had the dealer do it.
Right now I don't have the facilities nor the tools to do oil changes on this car, not to mention I don't feel like getting dirty.

Interestingly some of the vehicles have both analog and touch screen controls. Our RAM for example, has both. Jeep and Durango, climate control is on both locations, but not seat/wheel heat like in the truck.

I do wish there was a redundant physical switch for seat heating and cooling, but they do have them pop up on the splash screen when you first start the vehicle so it's easy to turn them on then.

You are funny lol. I just have a very open mind. What you said is true! I wish others on here would recognize that.

the JL Wrangler has redundant switches for the heated seats and wheel and with parts bin engineering bet as they role out new models, the switch cluster will be used in other models. dont see what the issue is, the uconnect is so easy to use.
