My pan already has a drain plug, so that's how I have been draining it. Pan was dropped by my mechanic about 2 years ago and the filter replaced, so I didn't get to see what was on the magnets.
It was originally specified with Dex III but later back approved to VI. I have been using the Valvoline Synthetic Dex VI for the last two D&Fs. Will probably continue with that in the future.
The cooler is the factory one, separate from the radiator. I wouldn't think it needs to be up sized, but will have to monitor some temps to see what they are running.
