Direct Battery Lighting

Has any one tried this? I bought a wiring harness that uses relays triggered bby the lighting circuit controls. The voltage to the bulbs comes directlyfrom the battery instead of going thru all the harness wiring. The results are dramatic. The headlights are quite a bit brighter than before.

From a LMC Truck catalog I have for my 02 F-150. Thirty bucks and a few minutes yo install and I was good to go. Perfect fit. I can't find one for my fog lites so I'll just build it.

I'm using Sylvania SilverStars right now for both lo/high beams. I'm gonna change the H3's to PIAA. The brights are 9005s and are good enuff as is.

yup, I did this about 11-12 years ago with a set of PIAA bulbs, big difference. Then, aftermarket HID kits came out and I got those. It's a nice $20-$30 upgrade even with stock bulbs. Stock wiring is very small on most vehicles...

I bought one to fix the foglight problem with my 88 Mustang GT. It was easier and better than the official fix.

Results depend on the car. I remember 20 years back this was a very common fix. Some cars back then actually had the headlight current going through the stalk switch instead of being switched through a relay or light module.

Made a nice difference along with the 9005 for 9006 swap on my Buick. Went from seeing a second ahead of the car at 60 to seeing 4-5 seconds ahead. Many avoided deer later it's the best thing I've ever done to this car.
