Wiring question for aux light relay

I bought an LED fog light kit on prime day with the intent of mounting them on my boat, but I have now decided I would like to mount them on my extremely dim Scion to supplement the low beams. The lights came with a pre-wired harness that includes a switched relay, but I want them to be triggered by the low beams and not a switch. I would like to remove the switch and wire the relay to be triggered by the low beam (+) but I’m not certain what the function of the three wires are leading from the relay to the switch. I know how to do it with a normal four terminal relay but I would like to use this nice wiring harness relatively intact instead of hacking it apart to use a different relay since I already have this one.

The switch is illuminated so my assumption is that the black and red wires are (-) and (+) for the switch. Does that mean the white is the (+) that trips the relay when the switch is ON? If that’s the case then I assume I can just remove the switch and wire the white to the low beam (+), or am I wrong?

30 to your power supply (use your fuse in this line)
86 to ground
85 to a tap into your low beam circuit
87 power to the lamp(s)
Ground the lamps to a chassis ground.

If you want more control just run the 85 or 86 through an unlit switch in the cabin to arm or disarm the setup.

Fog lights aren't low beams. Out of respect for the other drivers on the road please don't do this.

I figure I can swivel them down far enough that it won’t be a problem, but if it is I can always just wire in a switch or just remove them and put them on the boat where I intended them to be in the first place. They aren’t exactly laser bright to begin with.

Another option would be to just disconnect the existing low beams entirely in favor of the fog lamps, or maybe not use these particular lights and just wire in something with lower output like some of the 6W light bars I see advertised. I just want to add a little bit of visibility and I thought of this option because I already had them sitting in a box.

^^^^This gives you full control and the most flexibility under all circumstances.
