"Dipetane fuel treatment has no downside"

except that it empties your wallet. Sounds like snake oil. It is not easily ignitable according to the MSDS.

This company is in my backyard (Simi Valley, CA.). Interesting...

It claims that it lowers carbon dioxide by 23%...by burning more of the carbon (your cash).

It's a crock.

Also from the MSDS:
Quote:

Distillates, hydrotreated heavy paraffinic Trade Secret 100 %weight...This product contains petroleum base oils which may be refined by various processes including severe solvent extraction, severe hydrocracking, or severe hydrotreating.

Sounds a whole lot like regular ol' oil to me.

I remember the MSDS's. Its just an UCL(oil) and FI cleaner(distillate). Probably no better then 2-stroke oil. And, Dipetane II had some biodiesel in it. Whoopie!

Make your own UCL, MPG improver, or cleaner.

I think that the price of dipetane is outrageous. Its $30 a gallon. 12 ounces per 20 gallons of fuel is pretty rich.
I'll stick with Lucas, Marvel, 2-stroke, or.....

unDummy,
I was given a litre of anhydrous ethanol a bit over a year ago. I made ethyl ester of canola, and used it at the same treat rate as Lucas in my 4Runner.

It seemed to really like it.
