I was talking about the leaf spring, if it has one. Leaf spring and a bypass valve are two different things. Some bypass valves are located in the leaf spring, like seen in many Fram filters. Some filters like Purolator have a leaf spring, but the bypass valve is part of the end cap instead of the leaf spring.
Yeah, it's probably fine since it has a coil spring and not a leaf spring. The only other remote possible failure point is that it could start leaking if the can is thin and the metal got creased enough to cause a stress riser and crack from repeated pulsations during use.
