I had to use a Fram "Toughguard" on my 2000 Chevy Silverado. It replaced a NAPA Gold. The concern I have is the length difference, as the Fram is about 1.5 inches shorter than the NAPA. Other than having less filtering media surface area, is there any other problem with this? It did appear to thread on exactly right. Thanks.

Well, after over 100 views, I finally got a response. Thank you ZO6.
At Walmart, where I work, we stopped carrying the longer ph3675 and now only carry the ph3506. The filter guides were changed as well. I believe this is at Walmart only as you can still get ph3675's at Autozone and Fleet Farm. My guess is walmart wanted to save some shelf space. They did the same thing with the ph9566(FL910). The vehicles that did spec a 9566(ie. Ford Focus) now spec ph3614.
Switch back to the quality NG asap...
