how will i know its time to change the rear differential fluid?? is there a differnce in the feel of the car if i change it to new fluid??

300zx 1986. rwd 3.0L v6.

I generally do mine every 30,000 miles, however it can last 60,000 without a problem if its good fluid and isn't abused.

If you hear or feel it, it's too late.

You should be good for 30-60K with just about any lube. Less for heavy or tow vehicles. Check your owners manual to get recommendations and maybe a z forum for what people are really using.

Diffs are often the strong point in otherwise stock vehicles. I've seen big Dana's with 200K old dino keep turning just fine. Still, I'd take care of a change now so you know where it stands.

oo im confused on what i am supposed to hear or feel..it feels normal to me..i dont want to change it and then have problems u know ahhaa

You are not suppsed to feel anything. You should change it every ~30k miles regardless. And since you don't know the history I'd change it now. Changing won't cause any problems, but leaving it in certainly might.

Having owned several Nissan Z cars, I used both Mobil 1 75w-90 and Redline 75W-90 in them. I thought the Redline was better in the Z and much better than any of the dino and/or off the shelf gear oils. Well worth it in my opinion. I changed mine every 30K or so but this was probably overkill.
