Diesel oil color

After I put about 1k miles on my new ram 2500 the oil turned black. Currently at 14k miles and I changed the oil around 3k and 9k miles so far. This was on a brand new Cummins 6.7. All oil changes, after dumping the factory fill at 3k, were basically black immediately after changing. This is absolutely normal. Diesel oil always turns very dark almost immediately.

My anecdotal experience with my BMW 535d is that after an oil change and a quick trip around the block, the new oil in my 535d is BLACK.

All diesel oil is black the second you pour it in. Everyone saying anything different is lying. (According to me, I change 100s of liter of diesel oil every month.)

I agree it does on most engines, I've had a few that didn't

I've had diesel oil have a black tint shortly after but not look like squid oil in ops pics.
