How appropriate that you guys are talking about screwing up an oil change?

I need some help with this one. I was removing the oil plug on my mazda and because of cheap tools and my stupidity I stripped the plug. Round as a circle. I was wondering if anyone can suggest a solution to this mess?

Much appreciate.

Have you tried the "gator grip" style of sockets? I picked one up at Wal-Mart, and although it is junk now, it did help me remove a few rounded-off bolts that someone else had messed up (And one I did, even though I was being careful!).

I'm sure other stores sell them as well.

I screwed up the last oil change on my Grand Prix. It was dark out, but I had to do it because I was taking a long trip the next day and I was already overdue. So I decided a dim flashlight was the best choice. Well, I don't know how many people here own 3800 equipped vehicles, but the filter is right next the the right CV shaft and just above the control arm. Since I couldn't see the filter when I was taking it off, I spilled it ALL OVER the CV boot and control arm. I was out there in the pitch black with a rag and bottle of Simple Green cleaning up the mess.

Then, when I was adding the oil by flashlight (which is more difficult than it seems), I spilled about half a quart all over the valve cover and exhaust manifold. STUPID!
