I had 2 cars that supposedly need cap, rotor, plug every 30k. After a while I just do it every 60k with plat plugs and ignore the cap and rotor. I did see some deposit on the cap's terminals and rotor did see some dark spot, but I just sand them off or scrap them off with a box cutter. Didn't have problem afterward. Maybe I would if I run mine to 6500rpm but with an automatic transmission they never run that high. How many of you young whippersnappers ever dealt with points, condensers, coils, distributor caps, and copper core spark plugs that were supposed to last 10,000 miles, but usually needed to be changed at 6,000, and were subject to lead fouling?
But those Champion or AC plugs used to cost 50 cents each.
