Did my first 10k mile OCI

I'm hoping I can take the Caravan this far. Will see with a couple used oil analysis. Should be possible based on what the manual says about 16,000km (10K miles) being the limit but that's with a standard MS-6395 conventional oil so using a Synthetic I'm hoping for more as a safe upper limit but just change out at 10K miles / 16,000km.

I forgot to mention, prior to this 10k run, and it wasn't even planned, I got some M1 high mileage that was on sale when I was still in Canada. I run two OCIs using M1 High Mileage for about 5-6k miles.

I've been doing 10K OCIs with all sorts of Mobil 1 oils for the last 40 years. I now have 235K on my 2007 Fusion ( same engine as your Mazda). My engine is very clean, and uses 3-5 oz in my normal 10K OCI.

Yep. PSD did that and then some on Mobil Super... It is a strong oil for the price.
Truth be told guys ... All of the big guys "over" make all of their oils... Chevron, Mobil, Pennzoil, Shell, Valvoline, etc etc all do this has a rule. Even their low tier oils are way more capable than many would think possible. It has surprised me since being on here learning that fact alone. I have come to realize just how great even their entry level oils are. And all of the big blenders do it that way. I say good on them for making even low tier oils way better than they have to be.

I totally agree UncleDave...
It does matter a lot at times.. Kind of like the nature of human blood... It changes has well at times... When my good friend had a blood glucose levels of 1200 his blood was thick like syrup... He was in a coma for days... The viscosity of blood, color of it changes in times of trouble. No different than oil in some situations. One odd yet true aspect here guys... Car repair and symptomology is similar at times to our bodies in how they function. One example I use is how the electric system in a car is like our neurological system... It is funny yet true. Men who have a background in engineering can better wrap their hands around these concepts if shared in that way. And yet it is quite true and accurate
And a big reason why I enjoy being in here is the thinking and learning process for both is really quite similar.
