This is another reason why I use a conventional oil. I don't consider any synthetic that much better for those prices.

What about the guy that has a rear main seal leak coupled with a timing chain
cover leak coupled with a valve cover leak coupled with an oil pan seal leak?

Just buy Amsoil at that price.

...somewhere secretly Pablo is seeing dollar signs.

Otherwise, Pep Boys oil pricing is usually the highest out of the auto part's stores in my area.

Wow, it makes the $9.75/qt shipped for Amsoil Signature Series look cheap in comparison.

If only CT did sell Edge for only $9 though, it's around $13 a liter here! Even M1 is around $11 at CT when not on sale.

$11 shipping for a full 12 quart case (25#'s) is not exactly "ripped on".

No one up here pays $9/L for synthetic either do they? My personal limit is about $5/L which almost every oil gets that cheap on sale once a year. Its not like it goes bad!

I pay it for M1 0w40.

I can't say I ever look for Mobil 1 on sale or not. I like the rotella line up as I can run it in everything from my cars, atvs, small motors, tractor, generator etc.
I do wonder though if engine/hydraulic/gear oils are sold at most stores as a loss leader? I was talking to my tractor dealer and he doesn't really get any sort of discount at all going through a distributor compared to what we pay retail on regular prices. And I think he was a bit shocked I got 3 20L pails of Shell Spirax on sale for $53 each when his normal price is over $100 for the Valvoline equivelant. Maybe he just needs a new distributor?
