Dickey Betts Passed Away

An all time favorite band of mine. Saw them in 75’ at Roosevelt Stadium (NJ). Wish I could remember more about the concert.

I was at that concert at Roosevelt Stadium in 1975 too.

Lots of people did not realize that DIckey Betts was a master and he could hold his own with not only Duanne Allman but just about any other guitar player. Duanne is on slide for this classic while Dickey does a heck of a work out on his Gibson SG.

When the ABB was split up in the 80's Dickie formed Great Southern. I played the heck outta their albums and saw them several times at Winterland. Elvin Bishop showed up one time. Those were great times and Betts was as good as it gets.

Saw Elvin many times. What great fun those shows always were.
