The owners manual for the 8 speed GM truck auto transmission calls for Dexron HP. It can be be found in AC Delco and Amsoil brands. Any other brands out there yet? Thanks.

Just found Mobil 1 LV ATF HP.
If warranty is not a concern, Amsoil ATL claims to meet the Dexron HP spec:

Interesting … on the Mobil website it's got a GM license as the HP … but states it can be used in older Dex-X versions … so that's one for the other Dexron thread …

The HP specification has to have a lower Brookfield viscosity at -40C than the the Dexron VI.
This means the Dexron HP has even better cold temperature operation than does the Dexron VI, and Dexron III(H) or Dex/Merc.
