So since you "just bought" it, do you actually know what you're dealing with.... or are you making guesses?

I had the Dexcool sludge show up in the reservoir tank of a Olds Intrigue.
If you have the same, could you test these cleaners in the reservoir to see their effectiveness?

All of the cooling systems cleaners available now such as Prestone and GM is citric acid with maybe phosphoric acid. The oxalic acid cleaner in the TSB was probably a lot stronger. I've heard you can create a substitution for it with 9 oz of DAP wood bleach for the acid and 2 oz of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) for the neutralizer.

Using a T-flush or an adapter for a garden hose to flush through the heater core and a bottle or 2 of the current available Prestone or GM heavy duty cleaner should get most cooling systems clean.

I would cut right to the chase, disconnect the hoses leading directly into the heater core from the firewall and blast it with a garden hose and pistol nozzle, preferably with warm/hot water. If that doesn't clear it out nothing will.

Once some flow is restored then heavy-duty coolant flushes can be run through the system. I like the older Ford heavy-duty coolant flush in the metal cans, if you can find some old stock. GM heavy-duty coolant flush is good too.

I fixed my dex disaster with a combo of RMI-25 and Peak Global Lifetime. Drive around, let it flush itself. Swap the coolant in the expansion tank every once in a while.

You can get away with neglecting some coolants. Not Dex, it makes you pay.

Well, with the way you just popped off on mrsilv, I hope you have to endure the joy of replacing the heater core. Once you do, do yourself a favor and flush the rest of the system and replace it with Peak Global.

Try Earthworm drain cleaner. Non- toxic, but it will eat darn near anything. Should not hurt the hoses though....

+1 which is why I swap coolant on all cars at 50,000 miles.

First off, he didn't deserve it. With your lack of knowledge concerning the writing of the English language, you're really hard to follow. Secondly, you did just fall into the vehicle. He was sincerely asking if you were sure that there was not another underlying issue regarding your problem.

The way in which you are presenting your information is almost juvenile and akin to a monkey throwing feces randomly around a cage. Also, since anyone with any automotive knowledge should know what you're talking about, why are you even here? By your statement alone of anyone having any automotive knowledge, you should have had this done and your original post would not even need to exist.

Finally, as you sit there in economically depressed Michigan, I can understand your wanting to take out your frustrations on such an economically viable state as Wyoming. As a matter of fact, we get more than our fair share of people from Michigan coming out here for work. I can only assume that is the only reason Wyoming got dragged into this conversation.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Brokeback Mountain was filmed exclusively in Canada. I'm also amazed that in this day and time, bigots such as yourself are not called out and chastised for discrimination against people for their sexual orientation. So consider yourself called out. Bigot. I'm a heterosexual male with a wife and 5 kids. I do my best to teach them to love and appreciate others for who they are. I only hope with time people with hatred such as yourself are culled from the herd.
