Thanks for that; have run D4 and D6 for 80K miles;

Not sure why there is paranoia about using another fluid; WS is an accommodation; it is not a fluid specifically matched for the eCVT IMHO.

That was my thinking - Toyota didn't magically engineer WS to work in their automatic transmissions AND the Prius Transaxle. They just happened to have WS on hand and knew it didn't really matter what you ran in the Prius transaxle. You're just lubricating a couple of bearings, a few gears, and the drive chain. Dex VI is cheap and I don't have to drive 30 miles to my nearest Toyota dealer to get it.

There are 3 departments one never screwws around - ATF, coolant and plugs. You just broken one of those cardinal rules!!
He’s had Dex VI in his Prius for 210,000 miles, being changed every 60k miles. He’s had Dex VI in his Prius for 7-8 years. Either is isn’t harming anything or the damage is already done. Either way, the vehicle is close to 250k miles, which is a respectable service life out of any vehicle.

Let’s just suppose that WS is far superior, how much longer would you want or expect this vehicle to operate if it was yours?
