I have a 2008 Uplander 74,000 miles, specced for Dex VI. It is 1 quart low and I was thinking with all the differing opinions of Dex VI vs Dex III, surely 1 quart of Dex III would be ok for top up. The only reason I ask, is because I have a quart from flushing the ps on the maxima.

As soon as we can afford I will do a drain and fill with maxlife dex/merc.

6 yrs old, 74k miles. A quart low? I'd be more worried about where the ATF went. A little mad too. Is this normal for whatever AT is in this car? The 4HP22 in my 528e will barely move if it is a qt low. When my garage queen's torque converter seal tore. I used 2 qts to go 20 miles.

There's no leaks and the transmission has been fine until recently. While passing at 3/4 throttle, the engine or trans shudders like a bad coil, plug, or (gulp) transmission. I checked the 4T65E transmission in park idling and it is just at the bottom of the cross hatch.

The quart of Dex III I have is only 3/4 full, so I will just pick up a quart of Maxlife after the 4th, on Saturday, and use that.
