Dewalt battery deal

That claimed 50% off is bogus. Deal is okay, though.

There is also a 4Ah 20V for $51.40, and a 4 pack of 3Ah for $129. Sometimes lighter is better.

Free 8ah powerpack with the one handed saw. $169. Its difficult to find an 8ah powerpack cheaper than $100, and at least for me, the saw will be very helpful this winter.

That seems like a fair price.

A few years back I bought a $39 electric chain saw w/battery from Walmart. A SlickDeals deal. I figured if it got me through even one project, it would have paid for itself, but that little thing just keeps chugging along.

Sorry, Dewalt is junk imo, i was dumb and got china batteries and my barn burnt down because of it.
No DeWalt batteries are great actually. My DeWalt tools work just fine.

Okay, thanks. But what point are you trying to make? DeWalt is "junk" because aftermarket (grey market) batteries burned your barn down?

Some people shoot from the hip with their comments, but I'd be mad too if my barn burned down regardless of the reason.
Dewalt has saved me thousands in labor costs. I'll keep buying more.

My Dewalt weed wacker died early, due to a failed power control unit. It was fixed under warranty, but failed again, just outside of warranty. Good thing, the Li battery was still good, so I bought an adapter and was able to repurpose it to work in my Dewalt drill. Still chugging along with that. BTW, my Dewalt cord drill is still running fine after 30 years.

I won’t buy any grey market or aftermarket batteries for my cordless tools. Maybe they’re ok for some folks, but I don’t want to have a fire at my place because of a cheap battery that doesn’t meet safety standards.

Bought two 8 AH batteries plus charger from Lowes on a deal they had running late last year. Will keep my circular saw, vacuum, and angle grinder supplied with amps for quite some time.

Plus I got a successful warranty replacement for the previous 8 AH I had in the garage. So now I have 3x 8 AH batteries plus one iffy 8 AH on the shelf. Should last me a long time.
