Dent on oil filter

One of RockAuto's suppliers sent me a dented filter and included a slip of paper which read, "This filter is dented and not returnable".
I wish I photographed that slip but I swear it's true.

When I sold filters, most of which were to installers, we were instructed to tell our customer to not install dented filters. They wouldn't be warrantied by the manufacturer, which depending on the date, were either Fram or Purolator. We asked our customer to save them for refund or exchange.
