delo 400 hd diesal 10/30?

Hey guys, was in parts source today and saw delo 400 in blue 3.78 litre bottle says its hd diesal 10w30. i figure i will give it a try next oil change in my 93 gmc safari work van its on the highway 80 percent of the time. approx 269 000km on it . idont push it hard but it does burn alittle blue on start up. Im currently using valvoline hm semi syn 5w30.i run the oci about 5000km. My question is, its made by chevron, will it burn more oil or less.Im happy with the val hm just want to try some thing different any you guys have experience with this oil, cause i would like to lengthen the oci with it. will it cause leaking from the seals since its diesal? any input or opinions is greatly appreciated.....by the way at canadian tire in a northern ontario store i got val hm for 2.33 cents per litre ....I bought all 16 litres cleaned them out hm FULL SYNTHETIC!

When i was driving a tractor trailer for a living the company i worked for used this oil only in the 15-40 variety we had several units make a million miles on it and many more with 500k-800k miles on them!

yeah i got pretty lucky. I had to take a double take. I asked the store manager who happened to be in an ile beside me why so cheep and he said they will no longer be carrying any valvoline maxlife semi or Full Synthetic because its the way valvoline is marketing the oil?oh well whatever.It was on the top shelf and I could only reach the first couple bottles so he went to the back and kept pushing them forward til there was none left,and i havent seen the hm Full Synthetic in one litre bottles for a long time.


But anyway, any experience with the delo 400?
