Defense oil filters

Anyone ever heard of Defense oil filters? They are sold at my local Thiesens along with the huge wall of orange filters they have there. They seem to be the exact same as the FRAM's and the box even says they are made by Honeywell. They are painted white with black print on them. The baseplate, gasket, inner tube, everything is the same as FRAM's, except the Defense sells for $1.99.

Perhaps Honeywell wants to have a line of cheap filters that don't have the stigma of having "Fram" printed on the side

Many of the filter makers make private label brands.
WIX makes NAPA and Carquest.
Baldwin makes Amsoil.
Champ labs makes Supertech, Deutsch for one of the chain auto parts stores, Mobil 1, K&N, and others.
Fram makes Pennzoil and others.
