Cant wait to go pick up my recently ordered items! Ordered a harbor freight da polisher with 3 pads for 73$ tax and ship included, also ordered some collinite 845 and some akebono brake pads. Cant wait to test the polisher on scratches and swirls..which i have tons of.. i have all kinds of products but wondering what you guys think would be a good process to remove the swirls. I was thinking a wash and quick clay followed by a compound (i have megs ultimate compound) followed by a polish and than a wax (collinite). What do you guys think? If there is a way to remove a step or two thatd be great. Any tips or advice appreciated! Also is a DA polisher easy to use/ difficult to ruin paint?

I purchased two grinders from them for like $20.00 each and they are used a lot in the shop one of them burned out after about 8 months and i returned it and got another one free their warranty is great like sears used to be. Harbor freight is doing great because they are reasonable. Their top of the line tools are good also and more than half the price of others

Looks you will achieve fabulous results. Please take the before and after pictures. Which polish are you going to use? Just pick up the complimentary to Ultimate Compound, so either the SwirlX or Ultimate Polish from Meguairs. The UC will be *perfect* and follow it up with UP and wax would make the vehicle look better than new.
Just take your time and do NOT work on more 18x18 section at a time. As a matter fact, tape it and do all steps on it before deciding to replicate your results. For example a section of the hood or trunk.
You should add detailing clay to the arsenal and do that after washing but before compounding if you want even better bling.
You will NOT cause problems using DA. It is almost impossible to screw up.
Go for it.
P.S. I don't think I would be using those Akebono brake pads on my paint though
