DEF as Fertilizer?

Saving the planet one plastic bottle on the side of the road at a time.
It does legitimately easily reduce harmful emissions. The poor implementation is the problem though.

While urea is a fertilizer I would think using liquid urea would burn the lawn badly. When they use it on corn it is encapsulated so it doesn’t damage the corn till it can get into the roots.

I didn't watch the video but DEF is liquid urea. Most fertilizer use urea as there nitrogen source. I use granular urea 46/0/0 on my lawn at very low doses in the fall. I add it to hot water with cheated iron let it cool and spray my lawn in spring early summer. Makes my Midnight Kentucky blue grass thick and dark green. So yes you can use def on your lawn but urea granular is much cheaper.
