That spot in my socket rail appears to be empty ?Looks like 10mm to me.
Or wait for the Chinese to come up with some plastic adapter on eBay or Amazon. Last probably 50 uses but 1/10 the cost of the German one.You probably have to buy an expensive proprietary tool to unscrew it with. Because German engineering.
Ah, c'mon, the chances are you need a new car after you run out of gas, so you will never have to replace the wheel when it's low on airWhy would you need to remove a valve stem cap? Don't you know that a modern Mercedes comes with lifetime air from Stuttgart?
I have similar wheels but my stems are a little longer.Factory wheels on a newer Mercedes . How am I supposed to get the valve stem cap off with my fat fingers?

That was 2019 pricing, it is now $699.99 and they don't stock them. Needs to be shipped ground only for some reason, and they tag you $39.00 to ship it.Mercedes sells a special impact gun socket for the valve stem cover. It’s only $499.99, what’s the big deal?
German tariffs right now are 15%, so if it’s only $200 more that sounds like a bargain for all the mythical German engineering that goes into a socket? That was 2019 pricing, it is now $699.99 and they don't stock them. They’ll probably just slash the tyre and then try to catch the air in an old paper cup.Keeps the tweakers from stealing your air.
It's only got about 3/8 inch on each side of the plastic cap.Wow! Are your fingers really that fat?! That doesn’t look to be very tight. Pictures can be deceiving though.
I guess I get it, I’ve seen guys with hands that looked like stumps with 4 Brats and a Vienna sausage hanging off of them.
This is why I always got to do the work that required a little finesse and finger dexterity in tight spaces.

Ya well as I age all of me is getting fat!Don’t take my post the wrong way, I’m only ribbing you a bit.
You did say that you had “fat fingers” though.
Using a piece of hose was a great solution. There’s always a way. (Once you stop cussing the manufacturer and think about it for a moment.)![]()
