Ever since I bought it, I was on the fence about removing the model emblem. Finally decided the trunk line would look much cleaner without it, so I went ahead and removed it. I know some people consider this profanity, but I like it.

You know what to do with that Sharpie, Pablo. Don't bother telling me once more you knew I was kidding. Also don't bother telling me you just want to get my goat -- you always do that in this situation and it's getting pretty old. Find some other sandbox buddy.

Nice, all of ours are debadged also...it looks so much cleaner. The only version I wouldn't debadge is an M car...but who really cares what engine some 3/5/7 has

Pete, they are about to find you!

Yeah, I think there is someone knocking on my door right now...

Heh... the front bumper is already too low and deformed from me getting stuck on those curb stopper thingys... On the other hand, I have still not solved my high speed instability/floating issues... possibly some suspension components that are worn, but all the mechanics keep telling me that the suspension looks fine, and with only 35K miles on the clock, I don't want to start replacing everything...

What does the instability feel like? Could it be tires? Bushings and shocks just be decent still.

Pete, check the stabilizer but especially the rear axle barrel bushings ("Tonnenlager"), or whatever BMW calls it. The latter fail frequently and do cause "floating" at higher speeds.

What's with the URL on the license plate?

UGH. That is Jeb Bush's lasting 'contribution' to Floridians. I'm SO tired of everything My this and My that! That stupid URL has caused me to shell out the extra bucks for specialty tags because I refuse to have that gaudy ugly URL defacing the rear of my vehicles.

It feels like you're getting hit by crosswinds (but the weather is calm). It's not very prominent, but enough so that the car doesn't feel solidly planted... you have to keep correcting the path while going straight at speeds around 85mph and above.

I had two shops look at all the suspension and steering components - they both claim everything is nice and tight. But I understand some things just can't be tested just by looking/touching them, so how knows...

The tires are new, and I don't think it's them. I remember the same thing happening on the old tires as well.
