Like Zaino, Liqud Glass, Klasse, etc.

Over at Auotopia the general consensus is that Dawn doesn't remove cured polymer sealents.
It does remove carnuba and silicone wax coatings.

If you want to take the coatings off to the raw clearcoat surface, use a 50/50 mix of Isopropl alchohol. You can buy Isopropl with this mix ratio already.
This has been recommended (after washing) prep for polishing the surface and again prior to applying your polymer sealant of choice.

Or you can use a prewax paint cleaners.
3M,Pinnacle,Zaino,Liquid Glass,MeGuiars etc make prewax paint cleaners.

The AIO is a sealer, but with cleaners built in.
You cannot layer AIO as it removes the previous layer as you are applying it.
The consensus on autopia is that dawn will not remove a cured (few days) polymer sealant.

To remove any oil based coatings, like carnuba wax.
People have urban legendized it as an all coating stripper, but it is really only a detergent.
Do not use on any type of regular basis.
To wash yopur auto, use a wash or shampoo that is specially made for auto finishes (and wax safe too).

T'ard, can you explain further the statement that AIO should not be layered? I bought some of this stuff and I read somewhere that two or three coats applied a day apart is best.

AIO is a cleaner/sealer that leaves minimum protection and preps the finish for the application of Klasse SG on the vehicle and cannot be layered. You are confusing it with Klasse SG. You prep your car with AIO and then apply SG for maximum protection. It is recommended that you allow 24hours between coats of SG (2-3 coats for maximum protection).

I concur with the guys above.
Wherever you read that you can layer AIO is plain wrong. You have to consider the sources.
Autopia is the holy grail site for detailing, as this site is for lube. You still have to seperate the wheat from the chaff.
AIO is a non abrasive cleaner, meaning it is a solvent based cleaner. It will leave a layer of polymer protection on the finish.
It must cure for AT LEAST 24 hours.
Layer with SG allowing cure time between coats.
Do not use any quick detail or anything else for that matter until you have layered the amount of SG you want (3 is plenty).
Washing is ok though, with a quality automotive shampoo.
