Daughter hit a truck

In a parking lot. Man....this sucks.

Parked 2008 Toyota truck - no one in it. I didn't see the damage to the truck. Her car is pretty well creamed. Hood bend and inoperable. Right headlight smashed.......

Sorry to hear about that Pablo. My car was just hit in a parking lot a month or so ago and the driver just ran off. Sucks big time

Was this in the new (to you) Accord you got?

I should have stated that she is fine.

She hit the gas when she should have hit the brake kind of deal. Claims she was just tired. Not horsing around. Angle t-boned the truck.

It's just a car. Yeah the 1990 Accord. I got the hood open.

New hood $?
New right headlight assembly $50-100
Grill ?

Looks like the rest of it can be pulled straight. Not sure how much $.

Glad she's ok. Probably shaken up and a great lesson for more caution. I'm sure there's a compatible hood in a junkyard as I recall Accords were popular in 1990.

Not bad - this is why you buy a first car that is inexpensive and tough. The '90 Accord was a good choice after all. Glad to hear your daughter is OK. At least it happened in a parking lot and not on the road. A first accident is a big step for a young driver. She'll be better because of it.

Sorry to hear this, Pablo. Really glad you're daughter isn't hurt.

As for the car, I'd chuck it. 19-year old Accord? Not worth the repair effort!
