It may seem silly to some of you, but I just bought one of those, micfiber dashboard dusters. It works great! I used to use a damp towel and carefully rub everythingd down. It took forever to get into all of the nooks and crannys. I got it at Home Depot for $5. Best $5 I have spent in a long time. Dusting every surface in my car takes less than 5 min now.

I have a small California car duster... it does in fact work well for the dash and interior. Great for a quick dusting!

You still should apply some type of dressing from time to time for the UV protection.

I use a small California duster too, along with 303 protectant. Great results.

Same here...

Ditto -- CA Duster & 303 every 4-6 weeks. Megs Quick Interior Detailer in between (also very excellnt, and nice smelling).

I got a California Dash Duster as a gift once, and it works great. Very pleased with the results. As for protectant, I'm still working on my gallon of Auto Magic's Magic Dressing. It's a very thick white silicone/water based dressing. I thin it about 50% for interiors, and about 75% for engines. I like the way it smells. It smells very much like the new "plasticky" smell of a brand new car.

I've always been tempted to try 303, but there's only one place in town that sells it, and they're never open late enough for me to get over there.

This is probably a dumb question but: Do you spray the 303 on the duster? I ask because I have one and it leaves little bits of itself behind. I thought about spraying it a bit with the 303 but haven't done it.

No, you shouldn't spray 303 on the California Duster. Use the duster first and don't press down on the dash with it, just pass it over the dash very lightly with no pressure. That's what I do and it leaves no bits of itself behind.
Then apply the 303 using a sponge or clean cloth.

I use a molded velour dash mat. Its great at keeping dust off my dashboard. It's the best duster you can own. Plus I can vacuum or clean it easily.

Thanks much for this.
