Like when chevy put the name "nova" on a 4 cylinder econobox

Better cut any German engines off your list, or any of Chrysler's SRT vehicles then.

I recently drove a relatives 2011 Sonata with around 30,000 miles, on a cold start it was the worst sounding engine I have ever heard bar none. I've heard piston slapping Modulars and LSxs, they didn't even begin to hold a candle to this thing.

It was a pretty decent first impression car though. I still wouldn't own one.

There is a couple down the street with a Buick and what I assume must be a 3.8L that had (has?) the LIM problem. That thing has rod knock like you wouldn't believe. It sounds like a high pitched diesel.

Yet, they've been driving it for what has to be at least three years with this thing sounding like that!

I don't know whether to be impressed or horrified.

Also, my neighbour's civic (I've posted about this one before) sounds AWFUL on a cold start. But sounds fine once it is warmed up.

The Hyundai sounded like severe multiple cylinder piston slap combined with a valve-train lash or oiling issue. I've heard a lot of otherwise normally operating engines sound not so hot on cold starts, but this one took the cake by a wide margin.

Sure. Also Chrysler abused the name "Charger" in the '80s by putting it in a compact FWD car.

Anyway, I think the name Dart will work. Here is why:
They use the name Charger now for a car that doesn't have 2 doors and didn't look like the General Lee.

However, I can think of a dumb situation they came up with... The Aspen SUV. The Aspen is one of those '70s cars that people would have rather forgotten because most of them were problematic.

Yes was one of the best FWD cars at that time, ever heard of a Shelby Charger or a GLHS??
