I would imagine that depends on what it is used in. For a '90 Ford 350, it was 80W90 GL5. I use 75W90 syn in mine, but if I was going to work the **** out of it in a warm climate, I'd put 75W140 syn in it.

Have a Land Rover with the Land Rover Salisbury rear end, which is a D60 made under licence (different spline count on axles, but crown wheel and pinion are interchangeable with US ring and pinions)
Have been using a 75W-140 syn as it is specced in one of our other vehicles.
