Could anyone please tell me what certification is required for the ATF for the 7 speed automatic transmission on that Nissan?

I suggest finding the owners manual for your country - should be online, Nissan manuals seem to be easy to find. Or ask at NicoClub.

The spec may even change by country. I know when they superseded Matic J with Matic S here, a lot of countries just kept using J.

I am assuming this is 2014+ given it has the 7 speed?

It’s actually a 2018 X250 Merc with the same drivetrain. I can’t find what Merc prescribed for the Nissan’s unit.

I don’t have the car with me. It’s in Kyiv at a shop. I’m in the east of Ukraine.

Shop’s about to service it properly and I like to verify info

So Matic S is the most modern variant of an ATF for a Nissan’s 7 speed auto in NP 300 Navara?

Do you know what the spec is for the 2.3 liter twin turbo diesel in the said, 2018 Navara is?

I think that your MB X 250d vehicle uses MB 236.14 specification transmission fluid. It's very common on your continent so just look for transmission fluids that meet this specification. There's a whole list of brand names on that Mercedes-Benz Brevo link that you were provided with the other day.

I hope this gives some insight for you.

Product name

Mercedes-Benz Genuine ATF MB 236.14
arexons ATF 236.14
ATF M14
Fuchs TITAN ATF 4134
JMC Extra ATF M7S
LIQUI MOLY TOP TEC ATF 1600
LIQUIMATIC DX14
LUKOIL ATF SYNTH M 14
MATIC 14
Mobil ATF 134
MOTUL ATF 236.14
Neste ATF M14
PENTOSIN ATF 134
Q8 AUTO 25
Shell ATF134
Shell Spirax ATF M 5+
Shell SPIRAX S6 ATF 134M
Tutela ATF 500 DM
VAICO ATF 14
Valvoline ATF Pro 236.14

I'm sorry but it's all over the internet. Do searches for the major oil companies on their European web pages when searching for "Ölwegweiser" and they will list the products required. Not all manufacturers sell a MB 236.14 product but honestly, it's nothing special. Most recommend the universal Dexron-III/LT 71141 fluids.

That’s for ATF. What about for the the engine oil?
That wasn't the question you asked.

Anyhow, this is from Nissan:

Engine Oil Grade

API CF-4 (NEVER USE API CG-4)
ACEA B1, B3, B4, B5

Viscosity

SAE 5W-30 is Preferable
If 5W-30 is not available, select viscosity based on anticipated outside temperature range.

Where did you find this info. Could you please show it to me?
I must apologize. I spoke with a Mercedes-Benz representative and was told that your 2018 model year vehicle uses a fuel efficient fluid, specification 236.15. This is the blue colored fluid and is designed for the 2nd generation of the 7G-Tronic 7-speed transmission.

My suggestion for you is to contact a local Mercedes-Benz dealership and chat with them about the specifications for your vehicle (VIN specific). I wish I had more information to share but I don't.

Thing is, it’s a Nissan’s 7 speed auto… Hence me trying to verify the spec accurately

So, Nissan has no approval, just CF-4 and a viscosity ?

Does your vehicle have the small diesel engine? Is it all-wheel drive?

Here is a snip-it out of a Nissan owners manual that addresses the transmission fluid. Again, without the specific details of your vehicle we're just grasping at straws. Also, there are several discussions on this forum regarding Nissan Matic S fluid. And for what it's worth, the specifications of the Matic-S seem to align closely with the M-B 236.15 fluid with the exception of the fluid color.
