Dad bods are in.

:) (y)
75% prefer dad bods only because 75% are out of shape and ashamed of it, so they wont feel any pressure to be in
Honestly, even if you're not in shape. If you enjoy gluttony and sloth more than fitness and health, that's your right. I'd also put forth that you should be held accountable for the healthcare bills you rack up. That's where the rubber meets the road....will you be responsible for your choices, or not.
I agree! But ... Ummm .. that is why there is health insurance, as well as car insurance doesnt matter how careless you are with your body.

With that said, I do believe one should have the option to join a health plan whom stay within the proper weight, BMI for their size.
Just like car insurance, better drivers get a break, obesity is the driving force on our wild health care costs, bar none!
People who take care of themselves, meaning just as simple as maintaining a proper weight should be able to have a separate health plan or discount on their current plan. Its not fair to be lumped in with "reckless" drivers anymore then reckless eaters.
It would truly be a more fair plan but will never happen because we do not have a free market anymore.... (no politics allowed)

lol, maybe. You sound like a cardiobunny to me though. Healthy for sure! But your BMI is seriously low. Back when I was cruising around 12% body fat my BMI was 27ish. I don't like being much under 200#, really. I am 5'10.5". I'm probably around 18% right now and need to cut down, though. No way I plan to get my BMI below 26-28. I need power. Try to keep my squats/deadlifts over 400# and maintain the ability to knock out 20 pull-ups strict if need be. Strength isn't everything, but it helps me do work.

That said, I'm in favor of people being healthy or unhealthy or whatever they choose, so I dunno who I'm "preaching to".

You sound like you're happy just being an active skinny guy. And that's totally cool man, you do you.
:ROFLMAO: "cardiobunny", good one, that made me laugh, Good start to a new day. Thanks.
You doing some serious weights there. Good for you. I did them too but paid a big price about 10 years ago when I was in my mid 50's.
After finishing 3 sets of bent over rows and short brake I moved on to B-press with dumbbells 65 lbs each. As I was almost up during 2nd rep I heard loud snap and felt horrendous pain in my shoulder. My left arm completely collapsed and dumbbell missed my face by inches. One guy came running to me and said. *** happen? It sounded like you broke the bone. Within a sec. I notice big bulge on the inside of my left elbow size of golf ball. Never seen a doctor about it. Took me almost 4 years to recover when I could finally raise my left arm all the way up. Finally was able to return back to gym but lift much lighter now. Learned a lesson that having mentality of 20 year old as you get older usually doesn't end up well.

I agree, health insurance is for that, for sure. Hence why I say, pay and plan accordingly. That said, I am very frustrated at socialized healthcare, as well, where insurance companies must bill equally instead of taking a measure of the client's health. What if car insurance was like that? No wrecks, but guess what, your neighbors had wrecks. Guess your rate goes up...

That really annoys me.

Ouch! I don't consider my weights big honestly. Those were maxes. I generally will only work out with 225-315 in squats/deads for reps. Yesterday was chest day, just took it easy with 75# dumbells x10 on the flat, and 60# on the incline. I consider that/myself to be kindof at the bare minimum for power/performance in that regard. I am content, but far from "proud" of it.

-Did you warm up/are you a warm up type?
-Is 65% at that time heavy for you, or were these easy reps and you dunno what on earth happened?
-Did the arm destabalize at that point, prior to failure and you get "off axis" of the lift?

Warm up was usually on the bike for 10-15 min. and some stretching that's about it.
I think it was about 70% of my max 1 rep. can't remember precisely.
I didn't feel anything different and it felt like any other day which always end up well for years.

Had you recently taken antibiotics?

no back hair and barely any chest hair.
You talk as if that is a positive. Our good friend Burt, RIP.

My interpretation of the Dad bod, is you're in decent shape, can go for a 5 mile run, do a couple sets of curls with your 90lb kid, but you have a bit more body fat and aren't too worried about it. That said I do notice a bit more female attention when I'm a bit leaner, but its pretty obvious even then I don't have a set of rock hard abs under my shirt!

Abs are not required, just don't have a huge belly, and don't have man boobs either. Ideally for me, a guy is 6' -6' 2" tall, weighs 170 lbs - 200 lbs, can fight really well, when injured just laughs it off short of being stabbed or broken bones, highly intelligent, no facial hair, no tats, not too hairy anywhere, laughs and jokes a lot, rides and drives in the top 1% of people, likes time in the shop getting his hands dirty, can talk about almost anything, can agree to disagree with someone and not make it into personal name calling, must love dogs, have a cool dad that taught him to be a real man, no earrings, man buns, not carry a purse, no like the communist/socialist lifestyle, have big beautiful eyes and not walk aroundwith them half shut like stoners do, not do drugs, not drink too much, be kind to the old people, never try to tell me what I cannot do, wear, or work at.
If my dad and dogs don't like him, he is out.

Let me repeat, no man boobs, they are such a turn off.

fake news. "singles" or skank chicks find dad bods attractive cause a dad bod typically has a desperate guy with big house and a fat bank account along with it they can take in a divorce two months after. they're attracted to what comes with it. not the dad bod itself. ask married women of 20 years not singles who are single for a reason or become single right after marrying and taking from the divorce to do it again. there are terrible women that pray on fat unattractive old guys with lots of money to take from them then leave once it's time.
