Interesting. I looked and the RAM 1500 bed is 66.4 inches and the Cybertruck bed is 51 inches. My ATV is 48 inches, so it would be snug, but it would fit.

I’m not sure where you saw the Cybertruck being 51inches. It’s a 6 foot bed. Ford’s standard Supercrew bed is 5.5. Which Ram bed is 6 ft?

The crew cab is 67" (5' 7) and they have a 76" (6' 4) available as well. Ford also offers a longer bed IIRC.

They do have a longer bed availlable on the Ford, a 6.5, but they're just not common.

I have a Model Y and an F-150. Very little interest in owning a Cybertruck.

The Cybertruck doesn't need to be any longer, that's for sure. It already hangs out from parking spots.

I’ve got a friend who owns one. He likes it as a vehicle, not because he wanted a truck. It’s big, it’s powerful, it’s a hot rod for a guy who likes tech. His driveway dumps onto a highway at a blind corner with wrecks there weekly. If we didn’t call it a truck, maybe it would be more acceptable. Add a 3rd row and call in a -bus.

Wrapping them leaves corrosion and staining once you take it off. Then add that it's had 6 recalls in 12 months which is one every other month. For a "cutting edge vehicle that can survive the apocalypse " according to Elon that's pretty bad. They've also have higher than usual battery failures compared to other Tesla vehicles. I'm not sure who is on their "quality control " team as the Cybertruck doesn't seem to have one. Tesla is the only company where people to my knowledge had to tweet er X the CEO to get their Cybertruck fixed as they were told multiple problems weren't covered under warranty. Tesla owners will put up with anything which is sad.

I think the staining has been happening anyway and if it's happening on the wraps, it's just being hidden. The Cybertruck was a concept that if any other car company had come up with it would have never reached the consumer. If they had made a more normal truck it wouldn't have gotten the attention it has, but it probably would have been a better overall vehicle.

I've always seen it as the EV solution that makes the least sense if it's actually used as a truck. Not used as a truck and anything smaller uses much less energy to go the same distance which should equal much faster charging times.

I get that America loves its trucks, but it's lost on me.
