Changed the trans filters and fluid in my ram 1500. The last time I changed it was Nov. 2011 @ 59,567 mi. and I used a wix kit and super tech ATF+4. Just now changed it again April 2014 @ 104,465 miles used a Wix kit and ST ATF+4 again.

This transmission has both a stock flat filter and spin on cooler line filter, both are always replaced when I do a pan drop since the spin-on filter is in the pan too.

44,898 miles and about 29 months on the filter. Enjoy

Dang, hard to see exactly where the glued seam is. Looks like a well constructed filter.

The spin-on filter is inside the pan? Weird.

When I open up a used Magnefine I find some particles in the pleated media and some iron paste on the magnet. So I like that the inline filter has a magnet.

Looks real good and clean and Super Tech ATF 4

Supertech is making fine products... Or Im sure they have always made fine products.

However I still wont trust it in my Honda Transmission.. but would in any other brand car

I agree that was the first thing i notice since I always take a pic of the seam side then rotate 180 and take another pic. I couldn't find the seam! so I just used the straight lighter colored pleat as a reference.

I have been impressed with how clean this transmission has been I my first pan drop I also installed a larger trans oil cooler.

I was surprised at the filter I just hope it has a decent micron rating and that's not why is looks so great :p

On average, transmission filters generally look cleaner. Pushing fluid to make pressure versus lubricating for a combustion process like motor oil has to deal with, transmission fluid and filters generally run cleaner.
