Seems intact and better built than many.

When a filter with an ADBV is unscrewed, any release of held back oil should be noted if only statistically.

So many times I'd unscrew a filter and a quart of oil would empty from the upper regions of the engine. Ergo ADBV working!
Other times there'd be nothing. ADBV not working.

I'm so happy my new Ford takes a decent and inexpensive filter and a Good oil grade.
I'm running this filter as it is slightly larger than the spec p/n. When they are all tiny - bigger is better!

Is this off the 02 ranger? Thanks - Ken

What is spec ? The FL910S ?

Good looking filter! It’s what I’m going to be using on our 2005 Jeep. Can’t beat the price at $3.97 at the local Walmart. That and 5 quarts of Super Tech and I’m good for 5k.

Just my $0.02

Yes. FL-910s
Engine is the Mazda L/ Ford Duratec hopped up to high heaven. This motor would be great in a sporty Focus MT car.
Makes strong power to redline, 4500-6500, but still manages some "lugging" power at around 1700-2700.

I'm mainly tooling around in the 1500 2500 range at best with the AT in ECO mode.

I should do that on our Fusion Hybrid … it’s hard to get a wrench on anyway and length will help …
Also running 10k OCI - so bigger is better …
